Rhetorical English style 151, from the name I was absolutely devastated due to the fact the name sounds challenging. The first day of class I wasn’t even going to come because of the weather. I had expected a lot more people to be attending this class as well, and there were actually a lot but they barely showed up I guess. I didn’t expect it to be this cold at all, but we are down town where the river is near so of course. i was silly to think it would be okay. I was debating on dropping this semester, so i wouldn’t be in this cold weather plus my classes seemed difficult.I dreaded the fact that my teacher told me I would do essays during the class and must complete them and there were a number of them to do.
Going back to the very first day of rhetoric and style I had seen familiar faces ,but had never seen Murray before. expectations were met I had a challenging teacher. He was a teacher that was straight to the point. You wont find that with most teachers today they talk too much or get off of topic.he is one of those teachers that challenges his student to only advance as a writer.fears were confirmed through this class , i had to suck it up and just get through it , and try my best. that being said i had to be an adult and get it done.
Looking back to all the assignments Mr. Murray had given us which is going to be one through twelve. i was not successful in getting them done on time. i wasn’t able to focus on school and work at the same time. If Mr. Murray didn’t extend all the assignments due by this Thursday I probably wouldn’t have gotten things done. but part of deadline concerns I didn’t meet the expectations I set for myself. The fact that I actually learned different writing techniques and different websites to help me fix my grammar and punctual errors surprised me very much.Through out my years of taking classes I didn’t really obtain knowledge that were due to terrible teaching skills, and also my lack of wanting to learn. That being said, it surprised me to actually learn something I felt that was relevant to my life. What didn’t surprise me where that the expectations of me as a student were a little difficult . I would say I was successful with this class, because i had accomplished and learned some techniques i will use later in my life.
